Semester  One

Icebreaker Social
Date: 25th September 2015
Where: In JC's in fulton house
Time: 5pm
Description: You asked for it, so here it is - the hotly-anticipated first social of the year, where we welcome our lovely First Year students to the Society! There is no dressup theme - just come as you are - BUT there will be an activity that we will be doing, and this is remaining a SECRET until the night. We can't tell you what it is, but we can say that we have never done this before, and it'll be a fantastic way for people to get to know each other.

FRESHER'S REP ELECTION AND SOCIETY OLYMPICS ARE TAKING PLACE ON THE SAME DAY!

Fresher's Representative Election
Date: 28th October 2015
Where: Upstairs in Peppermint Swansea
Time: 7pm
Description: This is where we will be holding a small election to select our new Fresher's Representative! After the election, the Beer Olympics event will begin!

SOCIETY OLYMPICS
Date: 28th October 2015
Where: Upstairs in Peppermint Swansea
Time: 9pm, this event will be taking place
straight after the Fresher's representative election
Description:There's already been a lot of interest shown in the Society Olympics this year, and it looks like this event is set to be huge! These are the events we'll be holding on the night:
- Beer Pong
- 100m Sprint
- Triple Jump
- Presidents' Cup (Society Presidents only)
- 4 x 100m Relay

TEAM COLOURS:
History = Red
Geography = Green
English & American Studies = Purple
Politics = Blue

For more information on these events and how you can sign up, check out the posts below. Only those who have signed up on THIS EVENT BY MONDAY will be able to compete, and you can only sign up for a MAXIMUM of two events (Student Union rules, sorry guys!). Come out and support your team, and show everyone else that your society is the best!

Historical Dress-up Social

Where: Meet up in Peppermint Swansea
Time: 9pm
Description: Dress up as someone or something from the past! It doesn't have to be an expensive fancy costume, it can even be something old from the charity shop! So, get dressed up and have a great night with us! Best costume gets a prize!

Pub quiz

Description: A pub quiz where you compete against your fellow members, class mates and lecturers!  

Academic Workshop Season
Date: 16th of November (subject to change)
Where: TBC, on singleton campus
Time: TBC 
Description: This is an opportunity for you to get the best tips and tricks to help you with studying for your degree. These sessions will be accompanied by lecturers so you can ask questions! These have been really popular in the past and it is worth going!
