A Look Back At Pub Golf

Last Thursday was the History Society Pub Golf social. With the event starting at JCs bar on campus starting at 8:30 and finished the night in Sin nightclub, whom we would like to thank for giving us queue jump wristbands for people who came to the social.

MA Student, Sean McGrevey's Pub Golf Scorecard

Everyone was feeling ambitious at the start of the night aiming for a hole in one in each pub, however, by the end of the night, only one man had accomplished that feat - Sean McGrevey, the third-year running champion who managed to get a hole in one in every pub.

Unfortunately, due to time, we did have to miss out the Bryn 'y' Mor, Wig and Pen and the West Bourne. However, our Pub Golfers got the drinks for these pubs in the Potters Wheel and Sin just to make sure no drink was missed! It was a night to remember as we walked from bar to bar with drinks in hand and a very successful night at that, will anyone be able to compete with Sean and his perfect score next year?

Upcoming Events;End of Year Dinner

A Look Back at The History Society's Trip to Berlin

During the Easter break, the History Society took 60 of its members on a trip to Berlin, Germany with the travel company Invasion. Despite the minor issues that occurred, everyone on the trip thoroughly enjoyed their time exploring Berlin. These adventures included the Bar Crawl on the first night and a visit to Berlin's infamous Brauhaus on the second night, where we had jugs of beer, pretzels and a night full of laughter.

During the day, our members took trips to iconic attractions such as; the Reichstag building, The Berlin Wall and East Side Gallery, the Brandenburg Gates, Berlin Cathedral and many outstanding museums.
